Kennedy Wrestling | John F. Kennedy High School (La Palma) Wrestling Program

We have boys and girls from all grade levels who span the following weight classes:

Boys:

106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285.

Girls:

101, 106, 111, 116, 121, 126, 131, 137, 143, 150, 160, 170, 189, 235

We have the following teams:

• Varsity
• Girls Varsity
• JV
• Frosh/Soph
  

It does not matter if you are a boy or a girl, and it does not matter if you have any prior experience.  As long as you are not afraid of hard work, we have a spot on our team for you! 

In 2008-2009, we had 4 CIF qualifiers and 2 alternates.

In 2009-2010, we had 3 CIF qualifiers and 4 alternates.

In 2010-2011, we had 1 Undefeated League Champion and CIF Placer, 4 CIF qualifiers and 2 alternates.

In 2011-2012, we had 4 CIF qualifiers and 4 alternates.

In 2011-2012, we had 3 girls who we sent to Girls CIF Qualifying.

In 2012-2013, we had 7 CIF qualifiers and 2 alternates.

In 2012-2013, we had 6 girls who we sent to the CIF Southern Section tournament.

In 2012-2013, we had 1 State placer and 2 girls who qualified for the California State tournament.

In 2013-2014, we had 7 CIF qualifiers and 3 alternates.

In 2013-2014, we had 11 girls who we sent to the CIF Souther Section tournament.

In 2013-2014, we had 3 girls go to Masters.

In 2013-14, we had 1 Girl go to State and place in the top 12.

In all years, some of those wrestlers were first year wrestlers, and some were Freshman, with no wrestling experience prior to that season.  If you are motivated, dedicated, and committed, you will be successful and we want you on our team.
